William Hoffman, M.D.
William Hoffman, MD is a board-certified neurologist with experience in both civilian and military aerospace and flight medicine. He has received specialized training in aerospace medicine and is a recreational pilot.
Dr. Hoffman attended Georgetown University School of Medicine, completed his neurology residency at Brooke Army Medical Center, and fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center New York, NY. He completed a two years postdoctoral research experience with the Federal Aviation Administration and is a previous Federal Aviation Administration Aeromedical Examiner (AME).
Dr. Hoffman has experience working with airline pilots and recreational pilots both simple and complex neurological histories. He is committed to providing clear, objective neurological assessments to support pilots and Aviation Medical Examiners (AMEs) within the FAA medical certification process.
Dr. Hoffman was awarded the 2026 Aerospace Medical Association Raymond F. Longacre Award and the 2024 Aerospace Medical Association Boothby-Edwards Award for his work on aerospace mental health and airline pilot health research. He is a member of the Aerospace Medical Association and the American Academy of Neurology.

Kristen Matulis, DNP, APRN
Kristen Matulis, DNP, APRN, AGNP-C is an experienced neurology nurse practitioner with expertise in the evaluation and management of complex neurological conditions. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from the University of Minnesota and completed advanced fellowship training in movement disorders and neurology at Columbia University Medical Center in New York, NY.
Dr. Matulis has extensive experience caring for patients with complex neurological conditions. She also has experience supporting civilian airmen and aviation professionals navigating neurological diagnoses and aeromedical certification processes.
Dr. Matulis supports the delivery of comprehensive aerospace neurology evaluations and consultations for airmen. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, pilot-centered care and helping individuals navigate neurological health concerns within the FAA medical certification process. With an understanding of the unique challenges faced by pilots and professionals, she works to ensure a supportive, thorough, and efficient evaluation experience.
Dr. Matulis is a member of the Aerospace Medical Association and the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society.
